DaoZang Volume 131,  018a2

Book 10    A Faithful Rendition in Regular Text Plate 18 Scroll 24
DaoZang woodblock print from Volume 0131, Page 018a2

Lì Zuò Shì-Wài Sān-Wŭ Xuán
Standing or sitting outdoors in the open,
[experiencing] the Three Southern and Five Northern Breaths
and their Mysterious Spirits.

Wèi Bā-Jǐng Nǎi Èr-Shí-Sì Zhēn-Shén Róng Wèi Rén-Shēn Zé Sān-Tián
Wŭ-Zàng Zhēn-Qì Tiáo Róu Wú Qí Zāi Bìng

This is what is meant by saying 'the Eight Auspicious Scenes'.
These are the twenty-four gods who make up the
['Honor Guard' that defends the] health of the human body.
Therefore, due to the 'Three Fields' (The Upper, Middle, Lower Cinnabar Fields),
the Five Viscera (the Heart, Liver, Lungs, Spleen, and Kidneys)
and the Postnatal True Qi shifting about and blending together,
then one will not be subjected to personal misfortune or disease.

Shāo-Xiāng Jiē-Shŏu Yù-Huá Qián
Burning the joss sticks before the idol,
taking over the duties of another.
It is the Jade Flower (Yu Hua) that is in front of you.

Yù-Huá Zé Huá-Gài Zhī Qián Yĕ Wèi Méi-Jiān Tiān-Tīng Yĕ Yī Yuè Shén
Zhī Zōng Yuán Zhēn-Rén Zhī Kū Zhái Dāng Cóng Wén Ér Cún Zhī

The Jade Flower, therefore, is the Canopy that is at the front.
This means the Eyebrows and their space between them lead into the 'Corridor
to the Front Porch of Heaven' (the Central Region of the Forehead).
It is the same as meant by saying the [home of the]
'God of the Ancestors' (Shen Zhi Zong),
the Primordial Perfected One who uses the Cave (Ku) as his
family residence when it is suitable.
This follows what has been written, as it also the Storage (Cun) area.
